On our trips we like to start our days at a nice coffee shop. Acid was excellent, coffee was very smooth and rich. The sourdough bread was excellent (the butter tasted fresh and straight from a farm) and the grilled cheese looked delicious, though we didn’t try it. Muy rico, super bueno!
On my 15th day coming from Taiwan to Spain, I visited four autonomous communities north of Madrid and several cities. I have to say, this café is absolutely outstanding! The coffee is superb — my espresso had a wonderful citrus aroma, and the bread was delicious (though I didn't catch its name). All in all, the coffee truly moved me!
If you’re near the museums (and even if you’re not) and care about good bread and coffee, don’t miss this spot. I stopped in before heading to Museo Reina Sofía, and it was exactly what I wanted. The bread is incredible!! I ordered a tostada tomate and a batch coffee, and both were excellent. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try too hard. It just delivers on quality and ambiance. Perfect stop before a museum morning.
