I went to Amataros Sourdough Pizza after having such a great experience on my previous visit. Last time, I had the prosciutto pizza and the rocket salad, and both were amazingly good. This time, we came back specifically for the rocket salad, but the staff persuaded us to try the Amataros Salad instead. That turned out to be a solid choice. It tasted like fresh chopped lettuce harvested straight from a garden. The owner recommended the braised beef, and that was another excellent suggestion. It was served with mashed potatoes and toast, and it absolutely hit the spot. Of course, I had to make room for dessert. The blueberry cheesecake was the perfect ending to the meal. I already can't wait to come back. The next items on my list are the chicken pie, and honestly, I'll probably order another pizza too. The ambience deserves special mention. It felt like I had been transported back to Carmel-by-the-Sea, with its relaxed charm and welcoming atmosphere. First rate in every way. Highly recommended.
I was waiting for them to add the pizza I most wanted to try (The F7 which is pepperoni, mushroom and jalapeños) in Grab but I just ordered it through them manually to have it delivered. It’s a 23 minute drive from the apartment I am staying at and unfortunately the Grab driver just strapped the pizza to the top of her hot box so by the time it arrived it wasn’t even warm. Despite that I could tell this pizza was still absolutely delicious and I know the next time I want to have their pizza I will need to go there in person. The crust is on the thin size and absolutely delicious!
