Years ago, we watched Bo.Lan featured on Chef’s Table and knew that one day, if we ever made it to Thailand, this would be a must-visit. That day finally came—and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Bo.Lan isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an immersive Thai experience. Tucked away in a serene garden down a quiet alley, this traditional Thai house welcomes you with rustic wooden doors and an ambiance that feels part spa, part hidden gem. Before stepping into the dining room, you pass through a charming boutique filled with handcrafted pottery, house-branded sauces, teas, and other local delicacies—setting the tone for the thoughtfully curated meal ahead. The evening begins in the beautifully adorned bar, where you’re welcomed with complimentary tea, an aperitif of your choice, and the freshest peanuts you’ll ever taste. Here, you select your feast—choosing not just the menu but also your spice level. (Pro tip: be bold! You only live once.) Before dinner, a rare treat: a visit to the kitchen for a spoonful of their perfectly prepared rice—a small but memorable moment that highlights Bo.Lan’s dedication to tradition. Then, the feast begins. Dish after dish of impeccably crafted Thai cuisine, each bursting with authentic flavors and farm-fresh ingredients. Fragrant herbs, silky curries, crisp greens—it’s a masterclass in Thai gastronomy. I won’t spoil the exact menu, but let’s just say: this might have been the best Asian meal of our lives. And just when we thought the experience was complete, dessert arrived—twice. First, a beautifully plated creation at the table, then a second round in the lounge, where we chose from an assortment of Thai sweets for a three-course dessert finale. To top it all off, our host gifted us house-made fish sauce, soy sauce, and tea blends as a farewell present—one final touch of hospitality from a place that redefines what Thai cuisine can be. Bo.Lan is more than dinner; it’s an unforgettable culinary journey. If you find yourself in Bangkok, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it. 🌿🍛✨

We were so excited to have the opportunity to experience Bo.Lan, which is truly wonderful in every way! We’d planned to come about 5 years ago, but weren’t able to make the trip due to the pandemic. The food is delicious (portions are fairly generous, so come hungry and pace yourself!), service is spectacular, and ambiance is perfect. Highly recommend!

I first visited Bo.Lan in 2016, and ever since, it has been a must-stop whenever I’m in Bangkok. I often dined there with local friends—many of whom hailed it as the best Thai food they had ever tasted. The only time I missed a visit was in 2017, the year Bo.Lan received its Michelin star—reservations were simply impossible to get. Then came COVID-19, and with it, a long pause in travel. It’s been years since I last stepped into Bo.Lan. Returning now, I find that Bo.Lan has transformed—beautifully and meaningfully. Before the pandemic, Bo.Lan was focused on gastronomical experience, offering a deep dive into the refined traditions of Thai cuisine. Today, Bo.Lan brings forward the taste of home, the flavour of love, and a genuine passion for food—all shaped by resilience through challenge and change. There are many fine dining restaurants that can impress with technique and presentation. But few, if any, serve food that so clearly speaks of identity, conviction, and heart. Dining at Bo.Lan today is not just a meal—it’s a journey, a reflection of life’s own complexities and joys. Huge respect to Chef Bo and Chef Dylan. I’ll most certainly be back.

First off this should be six stars. This is one of my top tier restaurant of all time. I’ve been coming here since my first visit to Thailand almost ten years ago and if I’m in the country I AM GOING HERE. I haven’t met Bo but have met Dylan on multiple occasions and he’s always been absolutely fantastic to me and my company. The staff is all impeccable. I’ve rarely had the same meal twice but old favorites do show up from time to time and they are always welcome. It just keeps getting better and better over the years. Just a warning, it is spicy. But Never to the point where I feel it’s a detriment to the flavor, it’s always just an enhancement to the complex flavors. I beleive they told me they changed the menu every 3 months? I only wish I could come for every single one. ❤️❤️❤️
