Tucked away in Paris’s Marais district, Boot Café is a charming little café inside a former shoemaker’s workshop. With soft jazz, homemade cookies, and only a few small tables, it feels intimate, warm, and beautifully Parisian. The perfect place to begin a morning wandering through the Marais.
Every time I’m in the Marais area, I do everything in my power to stop by this place. I don’t care if it’s getting late, and if I’ve already had 3 cups of coffee before, I gotta get my coffee from Boot café. The espresso is always prepared to perfection. Basically, every drink is prepared super meticulously before they serve it. The place is very tiny, and getting a place to sit can be, at times, like winning the lottery. Don’t let this discourage you though. Take your coffee to-go and have a stroll in the very dynamic neighborhood of Marais.
What it lacks in size it makes up in character (some good things do come in small packages). The decor is very cute made up of postcards and magazines on the walls. The star of the show is the great coffee with a warm service from the friendly baristas. When I visited the shop, the cakes and other pastries were made by Emperor Norton. Very good.
