I’ve eaten at many nice restaurants in my life, and CUE was the best dining experience I’ve ever had! First and foremost, the service was phenomenal. The staff is amazing! Whenever a water glass was half empty, it was immediately refilled. The hostess/server was fun, explained each course clearly, kindly answered all of our questions, and had great cocktail recommendations. Overall, she had a very charming personality. When we were first seated, we mentioned we had a reservation elsewhere later that night, and the staff did a great job of ensuring we stayed on schedule. Our server even checked to make sure we were comfortable with the pace of the meal. The food is exceptional. The menu is basically all small plates, but there are enough courses and optional add-ons to guarantee you won’t leave hungry. Each course was visually appealing, as you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Most dishes seemingly use few ingredients, but the flavors are noticeably complex. Our main course was rooster, which was brought to us in two separate preparations (Part 1 & Part 2). This was a pleasant surprise, as the menu didn’t indicate that would be the case. My personal favorite was a smoked trout dish—it’s been four weeks, and I’m still thinking about it. Our party also greatly enjoyed the restaurant’s atmosphere. It feels intimate yet fun. The open kitchen lets you see the chefs working hard and smell the grill, making for a dining experience that is both inviting and keeps you anticipating each course. I also want to mention that our group had eaten at a different Michelin-starred restaurant the night before. Although we had a good experience there, CUE was superior in almost every aspect. Notably, the cocktails and service at CUE were significantly better (though both had great food). I don’t post reviews often, but people need to know about this place. If you appreciate elevated culinary experiences that aren’t pretentious, CUE is a MUST when you’re in Amsterdam.
This was one of our favorite dining experiences we have ever had. The food was exceptional (best dessert of my life!), and the servers were so friendly, kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Our cocktails were spectacular, and the listening bar downstairs was the best way to round out our night. A very cool atmosphere has been created here and we loved it!
This place in Amsterdam is all about fresh, seasonal food done right. You can really taste the quality—everything is super fresh, and clearly made with a lot of care. A special mention has to go to their pink butter infused with wine—something really unique—and the Madeira Bastard, a rare and precious dessert wine that’s absolutely worth trying. Both are little gems that make the experience even more memorabile on top of the whole menu. Huge plus: the staff really know their stuff when it comes to gluten-free options. They’re confident, helpful, and make you feel totally at ease if you have dietary needs (my wife is celiac). Special mention to Emo and the chef George. At the end of dinner they gave us a sweet little gift—a tasty plum treat with cinnamon—which is such a thoughtful touch. Definitely one of those places you leave already thinking about your next visit Absolutely recommended!!!
