Fat Cat

Fat Cat was suggested to me by my good friend from Norway whose sister had recently studied in Toulouse. Although tired from travel, I was waiting for a friend to finish a late shift and decided to treat myself to a couple drinks. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness and nuance that was put into the creation of each of the three drinks I tried. A masterful mixologist who I think was named Jeanne highly suggested her rendition of bloody mary. I was pleasantly surprised to see the tomato juice extracted by the muddling of fresh cherry tomatoes. The evocative smell of these tomatoes reminded me of balmy blue Occitanie summer heat with a touch of bittersweet melancholy. The fresh tomato juice provided both a welcome subtle acidity, sweetness, and freshness that tantalized the front palate while providing a gentle caress in the finish. The atmosphere of the bar is classy and clean, and the employees are very friendly. Although two inebriated and vile British buffoons came into the establishment they soon left as they realized that they were out of their depth. I highly recommend Fat Cat to anyone looking for high quality cocktails in Toulouse. I surely didn't leave empty handed, but rather with fond memories of unique cocktails.

We love this bar. The staff couldn’t be cooler. The vibe is chill for a romantic date or a cocktail with friends. I love watching the bartenders work, they truly have finesse and anything you order will be truly a masterpiece. The owner/server is so charming and good at her job. See you again very soon!!

This place is a must! As a solo female traveler I felt very welcome at this woman owned establishment! Cannot say enough good things about this bar other than it rivals the top spots in the world’s best bars! You must try the olive martini and anything else the bar team recommends. Don’t walk, Run here. Be mindlful that during summer hours they may be closed on Sunday.
