We recently moved to Brussels and we live 5 minutes walking distance from this place. Tried it today for the first time and all our expectations were met. The food was so fresh and delicious. The guy who helped us at the counter was very nice. We ordered for take out: 2 pita pockets (a Falafel Ta’ Ameya and a Falafel Amba - both extremely good!) and one of their plates (Cauli-florets, so nice and delicate). I can’t wait to go back and try more of their options. Unfortunately they’re only open Monday through Friday from 11:30am until 3pm so I’m usually at work during their opening hours but I’m very happy to live not far from this delicious vegetarian spot!
I love, love, love this plaaaace !!! This place serves moutabal which is becoming my comfort food lately and they have the best. Out of all moutabal's I've tried, their's has the most well balanced and not sour at all one's. The pita bread is amazing as well... no it was actually the best and it's also homemade!!! The owner reallty knows his stuff and isn't here just to make business but to share culinary flavors at a decent price. The place is so cozy as well, you can see kefir & kombucha that he's fermenting (very hyggelig for me so that passed the vibe check). Did I mention the cakes ? They are also freaking amazing!!!! There's an eggless & vegan ones and they were better than from pastry places as they weren't extremely sweet but really well balanced as well. In the end all I want to say is please support this place and let's all have our lunch here because it's really amazing 🌞
Everything on the menu is delicious and the atmosphere is very warm and luminous. I think this is the place where you can find the best traditional egyptian falafel (the real, original one with fava beans), and hummus dishes in town. And their sandwiches are to die for, they bake their own fresh pita bread every day! Once you’ve tried this place you will surely go back. Five stars all-round!
