This hotel is a gem. One of us is a person who likes to walk around a new city and explore -- the other is a person who wants to lounge around in the hotel and sip some cold drink. We both ended up getting what we wanted. Our "stay at the hotel" person got to sip cold drinks in the rooftop restaurant and to lounge around in beautiful hidden corners and courtyards of the building. Meanwhile, our "explore the city" person was able to walk around and have adventures before coming back for air-conditioning, comfortable seating, and beautiful surroundings. We both enjoyed our time in the hotel immensely, and we were disappointed we'd booked only a couple of nights. We may come back to Marrakech for a longer stay, and if so, we're definitely staying here again. Lots of great dishes in the restaurant that we didn't have time to sample, lots of places where we wanted to sit and rest and appreciate the beautify. Staying here was like staying in a museum.

I have been to Marrakech several times and I always stay on the other side of The Medina, I actually prefer Izza's location now! Perfect. I really like the staff at Izza, I have stayed at riads that only have a few people working so it's hard to get service. Izza is well staffed with kind people. Everyone is working hard to make it a nice experience.

Beautiful hotel, amazingly designed with unbelievably beautiful interiors (and exteriors) Sadly we felt staff let it down after the front desk…had to wait to be served on several occasions/chase down a waiter. One time we were served the wrong drink only to be told they had no chilled white wine at all and were confused why this couldn’t be switched for room temperature wine instead.
Food was beautiful though and the hotel was unbelievably stunning. I’d stay again but I’d be prepared for a bit of a wait time for some things.
