My food rating guide: 2.5/5 ‐-------> Average taste 5/5 ‐--------> Scrumptious! (My comfort food! 🤩) Chocolate blueberry millefeuille was good. Crunchy, fresh, well balanced. Kofuku was excellent. Great gelato well mixed with the other ingredients. Well balanced. Sumptuous. Tsukiakari Shincha was claming. Medium bodied, fragrant, and smooth. Nice ambience. The meal was a 5/5 😍
I am truly glad that Magokoro Teahouse is around still! My first visit was 3 years ago and instantly fell in love with its serenity. It is the kind of place where you can unwind, do some quiet reflection or just simply enjoy a slow afternoon matcha break. The outdoor seating area features a beautiful wooden veranda with floor cushions which can be warm and humid during some seasons, but you will appreciate that it faces a peaceful bamboo garden with plenty of greens. The Matcha Cream Puff tastes simply awesome! It is a crunchy crisp crust filled with super yummy matcha cream. Do not be deceived by its size, it filled me up for the entire afternoon! This tranquil Japanese-style escape is now added to my to-go whenever I am in CM.
