We visited Simple Restaurant in Marrakesh for a relaxed lunch/pre-flight dinner, and it turned out to be a lovely find. We ordered the chicken and vegetable tagine, aubergine rolls with salad, and a mixed fruit juice — everything was absolutely delicious. The tagine arrived piping hot and was beautifully cooked, with tender, melt-in-your-mouth chicken and rich flavours. The mixed fruit juice tasted incredibly fresh and was perfect for the heat — exactly what we needed. My only small critique is that the aubergine rolls would have been even better served warm, but that’s just a personal preference. The staff were friendly, polite, and very accommodating, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It wasn’t too busy when we visited, so we were lucky enough to get a perfect sunny spot on the rooftop. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service. I would definitely recommend this place — just wish we had discovered it earlier instead of on our last day!
Fantastic, we stumbled upon this little place, looking for a rooftop view of the sunset and some good food after a long hike in the Atlas Mountains. ‘Simple’ absolutely smashed all our expectations, the food was superb with amazing service to accompany, whilst soaking up the relaxing atmosphere just watching the wonders of Marrakech unfold below us.
Great little restaurant. We arrived and had to wait down on street level for a drink while they got us a table upstairs but that was fine and the drinks were nice. Once upstairs the setting was great and the food was equally good. I got a burger and the others got the Briouat Moroccan pasties, the kids got pasta and chicken skewers. All of the dishes were good, fresh and tasty. Only downside was there were a few things not on the menu so we couldn’t order the Lamb and my side of falafel got cancelled. I would recommend this place.
