Bamboo Bar at the Mandarin Oriental is a beautiful, classic jazz bar, with something of a colonial feel. Excellent cocktails, best vesper martini I have tried. Excellent jazz, great singer, a wonderful place to spend an evening and relax.

SENSATIONAL VOICE!!! The Bamboo Bar is one of my favorite jazz venues in the world. I live in Bangkok and am lucky enough to visit often. The venue is intimate and exudes class with a lot of history. The artists that perform are always of a very high caliber but sometimes there is an artist that is exceptional. That is the case with the current performer, Kate. What a sensational voice she has and what a treat it is to experience her singing. I love to make special requests and Kate sang them beautifully. I have been back a few times already as I wanted to see more of Kate. Not only does she have a sensational voice, but she has such an engaging bubbly personality, she makes everyone feel welcome. Thanks to the Bamboo Bar for creating memorable and fabulous evenings with an incredible songstress!

Even if this didn’t have the nostalgic history attached to it, it would still be a fabulous place. Staff go above and beyond, drinks are the best cocktails I’ve had and the atmosphere with the piano and then live music is stunning.
