A quiet café with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. You quickly forget you're in Kyoto, so if you're looking for the city's authentic feel, this isn't the place for you. For everyone else, I recommend it. The prices are very reasonable, the service is simple and efficient, and the matcha latte is delicious. But the calm and neutral ambiance will make you want to leave right after your drinks and first photos :-) However, when it's a bit busy, it's quite convivial. But there are very, very few locals.
One plate, many happy moments. Came for their drip coffee (opted for floral notes, medium roasted 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝), too cute to eat 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐬, sweet and velvety 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞 and slightly chewy 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥é. Loved the all-white, minimalist interior and unique no table seating concept.
Good coffee, more on the darker side of the roast level which is typical for traditional Japanese cafes. The cream puff was delicious, fresh and crispy on the outside. The upstair dinning space was also quite cool but definitely more on the quiet side so make sure to lower your volume up there.
